Raquel Forner was born in Buenos Aires, on April 22nd, 1902. In 1922 she receives her bachelor in fine arts, with a major in drawing from the National Academy of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires. 1924: She is third at the XIV National Salon of Fine Arts, Buenos Aires. 1928: Solo exhibition, Müller Gallery, Buenos Aires; followed by another exhibition in the School of Liberal Arts, La Plata (Province of Buenos Aires). 1929-1931: She goes to Paris, where she attends Othon Friesz courses at the Scandinavian Academy, Paris. She participates in the Nuevo Salon exhibition organized by Amigos del Arte, Buenos Aires. 1930: While in Paris, she participates in the VIII Salon of the Tuileries, Paris. Back in Buenos Aires, she participates in the First Annual Salon of Modern Painters. 1931: She participates in the Salon of Modern Painters, Buenos Aires. She opens an art school in 1932, with painters Alfredo Guttero, Pedro Domínguez Neira and sculptor Alfredo Bigatti and establishes the Independent Courses of Fine Arts. 1934: She wins the Second Prize at the XXIV National Salon of Fine Arts. 1935: She participates in the "1935 International Exhibition of Paintings" at the Carnegie Institute, Pittsburgh, U.S.A. 1936: She marries sculptor Alfredo Bigatti.
